Project Appraisals
The Project Appraisal tab allows a user to create, clone, edit and delete Project Appraisals for use within the Appraisal Module of Asprey Assets.

This screen can be reached from a Project drilldown button.
Permissions are required to manage Project Appraisal. speak to your internal administrator to enable the following permissions:

Create a Project Appraisal
To create a Project Appraisal click on the “New” button in the toolbar at the top of the Appraisals tab.

This will open up the “New Project Appraisal” dialogue, enabling the user to specify details about the new Project Appraisal.

Field | Description |
---|---|
Name | The name of the new Project Appraisal |
Notes | Notes about the new Project Appraisal |
In Use | Whether or not the new Project Appraisal will be use once created. |
Copy Financial Groups | If ticked, the Project Financial Groups will be copied to the new Appraisal providing initial configuration that matches the baseline figures of the selected Project. |
Copy Financial Settings | If ticked, the Project Financial Settings will be copied to the new Appraisal providing initial configuration that matches the baseline figures of the selected Project. |
Copy Years | If ticked, the Project Years will be copied to the new Appraisal providing initial configuration that matches the baseline Year figures of the selected Project. Please note that the Financial Groups are required for the Years and therefore the Financial Groups checkbox will automatically get ticked if the “Copy Years” checkbox is ticked. |
Fill out the required fields and click on the “Create” button.

This instantly create the new Project Appraisal and add it to the grid of existing Project Appraisals.

Clone a Project Appraisal
Click on the “Clone” button in the toolbar at the top of the screen.

This will open up the “Clone Appraisal” dialogue.

The following table defines the fields for the Clone Appraisal dialogue:
Field | Description |

Appraisal | The source Project Appraisal - this is a list of the existing Project Appraisals for the current Project. |
Name | The name of the new Project Appraisal |
Clone Assets | If ticked, the Assets for source Appraisal will be cloned across to the new Project Appraisal. |
Clone Financial Groups | If ticked, the Appraisal Financial Groups will be copied to the new Project Appraisal providing initial configuration that matches the source Appraisal. |
Clone Financial Settings | If ticked, the Appraisal Financial Settings will be copied to the new Project Appraisal providing initial configuration that matches the source Appraisal. |
Clone Years | If ticked, the Appraisal Years will be copied to the new Project Appraisal providing initial configuration that matches the source Appraisal. Please note that the Financial Groups are required for the Years and therefore the Financial Groups checkbox will automatically get ticked if the “Copy Years” checkbox is ticked. |
Choose a source Project Appraisal to Clone, from the dropdown list of Project Appraisals in the current Project.
The Name of the Project Appraisal will be automatically populated based on the source Project Appraisal. It’s advisable to change the name to something more meaningful.

When you’ve filled out all the required fields click on the “Clone” button to create a new Project Appraisal based on the source Appraisal you identified in the dropdown list.
Editing a Project Appraisal
Editing an unlocked Project Appraisal is as simple as clicking on the cell you want to edit and start typing.
Only unlocked Project Appraisals can be edited. Locked Project Appraisals are locked to prevent changes to the Project Appraisal, meaning no further changes can be made.
Project Appraisals can be unlocked with the correct permission.
Multiple fields can be edited across the whole grid should a lot of changes be required.

When you’ve finished editing ensure the “Save Changes” button is clicked to saved the amendments back to the database.
Deleting a Project Appraisal
Deleting a Project Appraisal will permanently remove it from the database!
Deleting a Project Appraisal WILL delete any linked settings - extreme caution should be taken!
Only unlocked Project Appraisals can be deleted. If the Project Appraisal you want to delete is locked you will need a permission to unlock the Project Appraisal.
Choose the unlocked Project Appraisal you want to delete by clicking on the trash can button adjacent to the row you want to remove.

The trash can button will be replaced with an undo button should you not want to delete the row.

If you’re still intent on deleting the highlighted row click on the “Save Changes” button in the toolbar.
Drilldown into a Project Appraisal
Any Project Appraisal locked or unlocked can be drilled into by selecting the radio button on the row and then clicking on the “Drilldown” button.
