Creating a New Service From The Service Centre
If a service or service type hasn’t been set up, it is easy to create one. A service group (from the Service Centre) is a way of grouping services into a particular group because of their relevance to each other; for example, a Domestic Gas Service and Communal Gas Service would be part of a Gas Service group.

To create a service group, in the Service Centre select the New option. Give the programme a reference i.e. Gas Servicing. The example will show ‘Demonstration Service Group’.
Fill in the following items in the list:
Item | Answer |
Scheme/Programme Reference | The name of the programme/group |
Phase | The year of the work to be completed in |
Scheme Description | A description of the programme/group |
Scope of Works | The scope of the works within the group, for example, a ‘Domestic and Communal Boiler programme’ |
Whole Stock | Add Whole Stock from the dropdown |
Letting Area | The area where the work is to be undertaken (Letting Area will be substituted for your organisation, to a different classification dependent on your stock) |
Local Authority | The Local Authority area (Local Authority will be substituted for your organisation, to a different classification dependent on your stock) |
Contractor | The contractor assigned to this service group. If there are a number of contractors doing Gas Servicing, users can set up the service group as that contractor’s name and service type i.e. Asprey Gas Contractor 2020 Gas Servicing |
Contractor Details | Pick the address from the dropdown |
Consultant | Not Mandatory but can be selected from a dropdown |
Programme Manager | Free text option |
SOR Group | This is needed when adding costs to a programme. This should be linked to the contractor managing the programme |
Lower and Upper Limit | DO NOT USE |
Once filled in, press Save to close the screen.

It is important to link services to the new service group/programme. To do this follow the steps in the ‘Creating a Service Type from Configuration’ below.
